I graduated from Indiana University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Criminal Justice, with a minor in Psychology. After earning my Transition to Teaching certification from University of Evansville in 2010, I began teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts and Literature in Indianapolis. After a wonderful first year, I moved back to Evansville, where I taught at Thompkins Middle School for three years. I had the pleasure of teaching 6th and 8th grade English Language Arts, Literature, and Reading for the first year, and taught 7th grade English Honors and Literature the remaining two years. During this time, I earned my Master of Education in Building Administration and Educational Leadership, as well as adding a P-12 Reading certification to my license. My husband and I relocated to Alabama in 2014, where I began teaching 7th grade Gifted and Advanced English in Shelby County; during my time at Chelsea Middle School, I earned a Master's level K-12 Gifted certification from the University of Alabama. Now, my husband, son, and I are moving back to Evansville to be close to family. I am so very excited and grateful to be joining the Scott School family!
